Salsipuedes is the debut full-length from The Chi-Tones, a project led by California native and Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist Chi McClean. Written, performed, and recorded by McClean, the album blends classic surf rock with Latin, western, and psychedelic influences to create something both familiar and entirely its own.

Driven by tube amps and drenched in reverb, the record pulls from the spirit of 1960s surf while expanding into desert noir, borderland rhythms, and cinematic soundscapes. Tribal percussion, moody guitar lines, and tight arrangements give the album a sense of movement throughout, shifting from playful and romantic to dark and mysterious.

Backed by Miles McPherson on drums, mixed by Buckley Miller at Big Art, and mastered for vinyl by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound, Salsipuedes pays tribute to the original pioneers of surf while carving out a modern, genre-blurring identity.

This is not just a throwback. It is a fully realized debut with depth, atmosphere, and intention.

High quality craftsmanship went into this record, pressed in the USA in Nashville. Pressed on eco vinyl, each record is made using recycled wax and comes out with its own one-of-a-kind color and pattern. No two copies are the same, giving every record its own identity while maintaining the same high-quality sound.
