Alice Coltrane – A Monastic Trio (Gatefold Jacket)

Released in 1968, A Monastic Trio introduced Alice Coltrane as one of the most visionary voices in modern jazz. Recorded in the wake of John Coltrane’s passing, the album blends modal jazz, spiritual exploration, and fearless improvisation into a deeply personal statement that would shape the future of spiritual jazz.

This Audio Clarity gatefold edition highlights the album’s meditative atmosphere with striking presentation and includes a bonus track. Whether seated at the piano or harp, Alice Coltrane creates music that is both adventurous and deeply moving, balancing moments of quiet reflection with powerful ensemble interplay.
