Description

Exotica with a sharp edge.

Sizzling Sampan captures The Krontjong Devils at their best. Four tracks that blend Indonesian-inspired tones with surf and instrumental structure, creating a sound that feels both rooted and unique.

The release features three original compositions alongside a standout cover of “Land Beyond The Moon,” all delivered with precision and character. Bright string work, intricate rhythms, and a strong sense of movement carry the record from start to finish.

There is a distinct tonal identity here. It leans into kroncong influence while still sitting comfortably in the broader surf and exotica world. Nothing feels forced. Just a band fully locked into their sound.

Short, focused, and highly replayable.
