The Best of Ace Rockabilly: 14 Raw and Rare Rockabilly Tracks Hand Selected by Keb Darge

A hand-picked collection of rockabilly rarities curated by legendary DJ, collector, and rockabilly authority Keb Darge.

Drawing from Ace Records’ deep vault of obscure 1950s recordings, this compilation assembles fourteen raw, energetic tracks from some of the genre’s most overlooked artists. Featuring cuts from Pat Cupp & The Flying Saucers, Orangie Ray Hubbard, Gene Terry & His Kool Kats, Johnny Burnette, Ray Campi, and more, the collection captures rockabilly at its wildest and most authentic.

These aren’t the songs you’ve heard a thousand times. Instead, this set shines a spotlight on the hidden gems, regional singles, and forgotten classics that helped shape the sound of early rock and roll. From slapping bass lines and twanging guitars to frantic vocals and dancehall energy, every track delivers the excitement that made rockabilly such a powerful force in American music.

Pressed on 180-gram vinyl, this compilation serves as both an introduction to the deeper corners of rockabilly history and a rewarding listen for longtime collectors.

Why We Carry It

We love compilations that dig beneath the surface. Rather than recycling the same handful of familiar hits, this collection showcases the rougher, rarer, and often more exciting side of 1950s rockabilly. Keb Darge’s reputation as one of the world’s foremost rockabilly collectors makes this an easy recommendation.
