Rockabilly Psychosis and the Garage Disease

A landmark compilation that helped define the psychobilly movement.

Originally released in the mid-1980s, Rockabilly Psychosis and the Garage Disease brought together a wild collection of artists who shared a common obsession with raw rock and roll, primitive energy, and outsider attitude. Rather than focusing on a single scene or era, the album connects the dots between 1950s rockabilly, 1960s garage rock, and the emerging psychobilly underground.

The result is a thrilling ride through some of the most influential and uncompromising recordings ever committed to tape. From garage classics by The Sonics and The Trashmen to psychobilly pioneers like The Meteors and underground legends including The Cramps, the collection traces a direct line from the birth of rock and roll to its most untamed descendants.

More than just a compilation, Rockabilly Psychosis and the Garage Disease became a blueprint for an entire generation of musicians and fans who preferred their music loud, weird, and dangerous.
