Link Wray & His Ray Men – Great Guitar Hits (LP)

If there is a Mount Rushmore of instrumental guitar music, Link Wray belongs on it.

Great Guitar Hits gathers some of the most important recordings from one of rock and roll’s true pioneers. Long before fuzz pedals, punk rock, and heavy guitar riffs became commonplace, Wray was pushing amplifiers to their limits and creating a sound that would influence generations of musicians.

Featuring classics like Rumble, Jack the Ripper, Raw-Hide, The Black Widow, and Ace of Spades, this collection captures the raw energy and attitude that made Link Wray a legend. His aggressive playing style, groundbreaking use of distortion, and unmistakable guitar tone helped shape everything from surf and garage rock to hard rock and punk.

More than a greatest hits collection, this is a masterclass in the foundations of guitar-driven music.
